B.O.S. - Better On-line Solutions' Subsidiary, BOScom, Adds Alternate Sessions Support to its e-Twin@x Controller

Version 3.00 of the industry’s only pure TCP/IP controller now allows toggling between two sessions on the same Twinax address, and between sessions configured on two different hosts

Teradion, Israel, June 3, 2002 - BOScom, a wholly owned subsidiary of B.O.S. Better On-line Solutions, today announced a new Alternate Sessions feature for its e-Twin@x Controller™, a complete hardware and software solution that provides a secure, encrypted connection to the AS/400 over the Internet or WAN and empowers local or remote Twinax networks to support TCP/IP. The new Alternate Sessions feature, released in version 3.00 of the e-Twin@x Controller, enables the user to toggle between two concurrent display sessions configured on the same Twinax address. Furthermore, the sessions can be configured to different host computers.

The new Alternate Sessions feature will boost productivity, especially when processing batches. "Previously, when using the ‘transfer to alternative job’ command on the AS/400, moving between sessions would cause the background session to cease processing," states Martin Pladgeman, President BOS US. "With our new Alternate Sessions feature, users can toggle between sessions and batch requests can continue to be processed in the background."

Distribution and Availability

Version 3.00 of the e-Twin@x Controller is now available worldwide through the extensive B.O.S. network of subsidiaries, distributors, and value-added distributors and resellers (VADs and VARs).
